Naming Day Ceremonies
My name is Dinah Gould and i would be honored to be part of your child’s naming ceremony. Name giving ceremonies are one of the oldest traditional ceremonies and are an excellent way to welcome a new member into the family. Whilst naming are not christenings, they may be referred to as secular christenings.
Located in Camden, South West of Sydney, i have had the pleasure of conducting ceremonies across the Macarthur and Wollondilly region for over 5 years. I have found many families who do not feel the need to follow a religious faith, be it a christening, baptism or equivalent are able to create a personal and fun ceremony.
Naming days bring families together, join children with grandparents, godparents and life long mentors in a ceremony completely designed by you. Having conducted many of these naming day ceremonies I am only to happy to give guidance and advice on this significant day in your child’s life.
Poems, readings and symbolic gestures are often a great way to commemorate the special day. Whilst there are no legal requirements with a naming day ceremony, i do provide a commemorative certificate to acknowledge the special occasion.
